Walkers out on Inishowen Way

Due to landowner opposition, the Inishowen Way will avoid the Malin area, going directly from Malin Town to Culdaff. This is a shame, as Malin Head would be a major attraction, the Knockmany Bens and Crockalough coastal Walk are quality sections, but it is hoped that a link from Buncrana to Derry via Inch Island and Grainan will be included at a future date.

Recent Developments

1/. The establishment of the Inishowen Civic Forum, who see the Inishowen Way as a flagship project. They have already engaged with the IFA who
are now supportive, provided they are consulted at every stage.

2/. The Wild Atlantic Way is the newest and biggest initiative of Failte Ireland, the objective being to market the west Irish Coastline from Derry to Cork as one product, with Points of Interest along the
way. As we are the first part of the coastline from Derry, we are in pole position to benefit from the funding that will become available.
